The Lake George Hotel/George Bar & Dining is a vibrant and dynamic Hotel & Restaurant dedicated to providing exceptional service and fostering a welcoming environment. We provide our guests with an outstanding dining experience alongside our other offerings. We are driven by offering local, fresh & delicious Australian produce while ensuring we are up to date with Seasonal & industry trends. We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Sous chef to assist in leading our culinary team and elevate our food offerings to new heights.

The George Bar & Dining was a finalist in the AHA hospitality industry awards 2023 in the “best restaurant” NSW category and the winner of the Best Steak in NSW in 2024.

The George Bar & Dining is an integral part of the Lake George Hotel. An established family run business located in the heart of the beautiful town of Bungendore only 25 minutes from Canberra. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner service five days a week Wednesday – Sunday as well as most NSW public holidays.

If you’re energetic, positive, a team player and thrive in a fast paced environment, then we want to hear from you! The Lake George Hotel is a long established family run business located in the rural township of Bungendore less than 30 minutes from Canberra CBD & only 15 mins from Queanbeyan. We are young energetic team who have a good time while working hard. Previous bar experience is preferred but not essential for a standout candidate. We offer AHA wages with penalty rates on weekends & public holidays.

• Ability to work with a wide range of people and clientele
• Punctual – with good time management skills!
• Able to work evenings & weekends
• A team player – who enjoys the odd individual challenge
• Able to have a laugh while on shift
• Customer service orientated, able to provide that WOW factor to our clientele
• Hold or willing to obtain New South Wales Responsible Service Of Alcohol & Responsible Conduct Of Gaming Certificates
• Current Australian drivers License
• Be available to start ASAP
