The George Bar & Dining is located in the heart of the historic town of Bungendore, less than 30 minutes’ drive from our nation’s capital Canberra.

With up to 120 covers set around our feature fire place in our modern, country industrial themed dining space we offer:

• Great food made with locally sourced Australian meat, seafood and produce served in comfortable, family friendly and relaxed surroundings.
• Fantastic wine from the Canberra District hand-picked by our Restaurant manager and Sommelier who is accredited to the Court of Master Sommeliers.
• Amazing craft beer and cider from across Australia carefully selected with our specialist purchasing partner.

The George Bar & Dining’s menu is ever evolving and changes regularly taking into consideration seasonal produce, availability, and trends.

We partner with Lost River produce who supply and farm their own meat in the Riverina region at Crookwell. The meat is grass fed and is free from artificial growth hormones & antibiotics. We also use produce from our own farm at Gidleigh.

The George Bar & Dining is proud to offer an extensive range of craft beer & cider, to enhance our already extensive offer of mainstream beers and lager.

We have a close relationship with our specialist on trade craft beer guru who assists us in finding great craft beer from across Australia.

We are showcase craft beers on our guest taps within the restaurant. We also stock a very large and diverse selection of bottled beers, ales, stouts, lagers and ciders in our fridges.

The George Bar & Dining showcases and highlights our ever changing and wide range of beers through our dedicated beer menu which is regularly updated and changed.

In the winter of 2015 the GB&D launched the Lake George Craft Beer Club. Like minded beer lovers and aficionados can meet to sample, enjoy and savour some of Australia’s finest craft beers. In the pipeline we have meet the brewer evenings, specialist tastings, beer degustation dinners and will be launching our own mini beer and cider festival in our beer garden in the near future.

Not forgetting our cider fans we also have a large range of apple, pear, organic and fruit ciders available too. Something for everyone!
